Why we started Greensboro Rodent Control

Greensboro Rodent Control was founded in 2022 by a team of pest-control professionals who grew up working homes from Fisher Park to Pleasant Garden. After years of seeing national chains apply the same generic rat program to every property regardless of construction era, canopy density, or crawl-space condition, we built a company that does the opposite — every job starts with a property-specific inspection, and every treatment plan is calibrated to what's actually happening at your address.

The early decision was to stay local. We work Guilford County and the immediate Piedmont Triad — Greensboro, High Point, Jamestown, Summerfield, Oak Ridge, parts of Rockingham, Alamance, and Randolph counties. We turn down jobs in Charlotte and Raleigh because we can't be there fast enough to do the job right. Same-day inspections only matter if "same day" actually means today, not Wednesday.

The second decision was to specialize in rodents. Pest control is a broad category — ants, termites, mosquitoes, bedbugs, wildlife — and most companies cover everything thinly. We picked rats, mice, and roof rats because Greensboro's specific environmental mix (humid subtropical climate, mature hardwood canopy in older neighborhoods, aging crawl-space housing stock, downtown restaurant density) creates rodent pressure that's substantially different from other Southern metros. Specialization lets us know the species, the entry vectors, and the seasonal patterns deeply rather than passably.

North Carolina structural pest control regulations

North Carolina regulates structural pest control through the NC Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services, Structural Pest Control & Pesticides Division. Any chemical rodenticide use in a residential or commercial structure in North Carolina must follow these regulations — license requirements for applicators, label-compliant placement of bait stations, restricted-use product handling, and record-keeping for commercial accounts.

Greensboro Rodent Control operates under these regulations. Our applicators are licensed, our bait-station placements are documented, and our commercial monitoring logs are formatted for health-inspection review. If you'd like specific license documentation for a property file, ask the technician on your job and they'll provide it.

We also do significant non-chemical work — mechanical trapping, exclusion sealing, sanitation, cleanup — where licensing isn't the question; craftsmanship is. The exclusion seal at a soffit return is only as good as the materials and the install.
